Mystery No-waste Bookmark
No-waste bookmarks are back and better than ever! This new wave of bookmarks have been made with yarn 100% handspun by me, woven on a table loom with cotton tapestry warp. The cotton warp comes from the ends of cones that aren’t long enough to effectively warp my large upright rug loom.
For the bookmarks this time, they’ll be a mystery element, where I will choose the bookmark you receive. When adding to your cart, a form will pop up asking you if you’d like to give a colour preference, something along the lines of “would love something with pink!’ or ‘no brown please,’ will inform the bookmark I choose for you.
The fibre used for these bookmarks has either been donated, purchased secondhand, or reclaimed by me. For the reclamation process I have been blending up short lengths of yarn produced in the rug tufting process, breaking them down back into it’s fluffy fibre, and combining with either secondhand fibre or new virgin fibre, and re-spun into yarn by me.
Bookmarks each measure approximately 17 × 4cm ± 1cm
Fibre is typically mostly wool, but due to the reclamation process, yarn will also include things like nylon and acrylic.
Bookmarks featured in the product listing images are those currently available.
